Before i have told you about the good commenting to do to your blog, interested visitors that actually will read some of your blog, links back and even comments back most of the time. I do not believe that this applies to spam, I wonder how I even get this many spam comments as it is, I got more spam comments than visitors to my blog, probably it’s some sort of evil spam bot that should never have been made in the first place, that tries to place links on unprotected blogs, with no concern of what those links (often to adult sites and at the very least almost never has anything to do with the blog at all) I wonder what kind of people put the ruthless spam bot to work to spread links that probably would not help at all, and I wonder what motivates them to try something like spamming out their links.

Maybe they think that it will somehow bring them a mass of interested visitors and make their businesses or sites succesful, earning them money, sounds like something someone unknowing would do. Thinking that there is something out there that will help them like that without them doing anything special. Well, I will advise anyone who think they can achieve anything by spamming to take a second, read a few lines on the blog you are viewing, (or on any blog instead of using a spam bot, you can search a blog search engine for topics that has something to do with your own) and then post a comment related to the actual post with your name/alias and the url to your site (almost any commenting service will offer you to do that seperately from the actual post.)

Afterthought: I wonder what the automatic generated related posts system is up to, apparently my post is related to this: “Gemma Arterton Steamy Scene with James Bond” uhhh, how?

Commenting is good!

I believe that commenting on other peoples blogs is very good for your own blog. For example:

1. It leads blog readers to your blog.

If you make a serious comment most likely some of the readers will pay a visit to your blog.

2. It makes the blog owner notice your blog(some exceptions)

For example when I get a comment I tend to check out the commenter’s blog and read a few posts.

3. It can start an online friendship that leads to back/forth linking.

Got most of my links/blogger friends simply commenting 🙂

How does this affect your blog? More direct readers, and indirectly with time might increase your search engine ranking, plus you might make some new friends.

3 tips to improving a blog post

I don’t get how I managed to write posts before, somehow I’ve been left completely uninspired for the last few days, leaving me unable to write anything that would be interesting, also I haven’t seen any blogs that demand my interest lately so I haven’t got any other reccomendations to make than the ones I already have in my blogroll. So I decided to write down 3 of the things I use to improve my blog posts after I feel like I’m done with them.

1. Add pictures to any posts you find well fitting pictures for, remember to refer back to the site you borrowed the picture from, or if you have a few pictures yourself, you can use image uploading sites or if you have your own domain, you can upload them to your ftp server to make them accesible on the internet, then add it to your post.

2. Always (and I mean always) go through your post 2 or more times after you’re done writing it this is to ensure that everything you’ve written makes sense, and that there is no/little bad spelling and etc.

3 Read the post out loud to yourself/others this is to pick up anything nr.2 left out, and also makes it a lot easier to notice anything that doesn’t make sense and also misspelled words.
